The French long-stay student visa (VLS-TS) is processed via Campus France. France's APS visa gives graduates 12 months to find employment after graduation.

Student Visa (VLS-TS)
  • Pre-register via Campus France platform (mandatory for most nationalities)
  • Apply at the French Embassy or VFS centre after Campus France clearance
  • Required: acceptance letter, proof of funds (€615/month), IELTS/DELF, accommodation proof
  • Processing time: 3–6 weeks; apply 2–3 months before course start
  • VLS-TS acts as both visa and residence permit for first year of study
Work Rights & APS Visa
  • Work up to 20 hours/week during term; full-time during official holidays
  • Student job (job étudiant) widely available in France across sectors
  • APS (Autorisation Provisoire de Séjour): 1 year post-graduation job search
  • APS can be extended or converted to Talent Passport for skilled workers
